11 Days Korea Trip - Seoul & Busan Part 2 (Changdeokgung, Bukchon Hanok, Insadong, MBC Show Champion, Everland)

Day 3

In the morning, we went to Changdeokgung - Changdeokgung Palace was the second royal villa built following the construction of Gyeongbukgung Palace in 1405. It was the principal palace for many of the Joseon kings and is the most well-preserved of the five remaining royal Joseon palaces.
Entrance Fee: 3000won

We could easily spend the whole morning there till about noon time. This palace would deserve at least 2-3 hours to tour.

Our ticket to the palace grounds... the secret garden will cost another entrance fee so we skipped.

After our morning tour at Changdeokgung, we went to Bukchon Hanok Village which was suppose to be nearby... but we ended up spending 1 hour ++ to find the place... there were so many hills and tiny alleys that we went through... it was really crazy and tiring...honestly I don't think it was worth going :p (you guys can judge from the picture if it is worth going)

Next stop we headed to Insadong for our lunch YAY!! Yummy Korean food is like one of the best part of the trip!

The menu! so many good things to eat

Kimchi jjigae(stew)

Pork cutlet (tonkatsu)
Beef bibimbap
fried Mandu
view of Insadong street from the restaurant..

This place sells the famous Poop Cake (with red bean filling inside)

After our lunch and shopping at Insadong, the highlight of our day was to attend the MBC Show Champion hosted by Super Junior Kangin! We participated in a lucky draw sort of event by the Korean Tourism Organisation and won 4 tickets to attend the show's recording session for FREE :)

This is the link where we participated the event.

With one of the staff that was facilitating the event :) She speaks Mandarin!

Excited Kpop fans... although we don't really know the line up for that day :P

With a Chinese Tourist who cam as well :)
The recording started around 6.30pm and ended around 8pm... and we were super hungry by then. Since my sister mention that Kim Hyun Joong's fried chicken shop was nearby the area, we decided to go there for our din din

We order 2 portion of fried chicken - one original and the other garlic. Original was soo spicy I nearly cried but still it was good :) and we order "Cider" don't think it is apple cider or anything, it is actually what we call "Sprite" here.

Day 4

Today we were entirely dedicated to visiting Everland. Honestly this is one of the MUST VISIT theme parks in Korea. We were choosing between Everland or Lotte World but we ended up here because Lotte is catered more to children with all their cute cute rides... and since we are thrill seeking adults, Everland was the better option.

The Entrance Fee was 37,000won (we got a discount coupon from the KTO website)

Thankfully the weather was superb that day except for some rain shower during the late evening which was okay because it was near the hour where the theme park closes. I'll just let the pictures do the talking haha... but you know how tours usually brings us to a theme park and we can only spend like 3-4 hours exploring, Everland definitely deserves a FULL DAY. It is so damn huge with so many rides (usually long ques too) and pretty places to take pictures.

That's all for now, I'll be back soon :)
